We use this coffee pot often for church activities. It is dependable and the coffee always delicious. It seems to be well made and we expect it to last for a long time.Bought this to feed a large group of campers coffee. It was empty within the first hour. Takes awhile to percolate. Will need to order a second one for the fall camping seasonWorks as should.Bought this for the church, they love it. It is heavily used so very durable.Es buena de buen materialI was very pleased with the material it is steel...i bought one that was aluminum and the plunger was bendable, this one is not. Its easy to use and easy to clean. When I plug in the pot, it started percolating in seconds!! I like the look too.The only thing I disliked was the location of the spigot was too high to fully drain the pit without tipping the pot, making it unsafe to use the remaining liquid and cleaning more difficult.I use this to heat my sparge water for brewing beer. This urn taught me that "60 cups" in the coffee world is not actually 60 cups. Not even close. In this case it worked out to around 42. Which is not enough to sparge with. So I still require a separate vessel to heat water up in. Making this purchase pretty much pointless. I would have returned this if it didn't take me 4-5 brews over a number of months of me continuously thinking I mis-measured something again as I ran out of sparge water. Then finally, instead of filling up to the 50 cup line for 12 litres as every conversion tool told me to do, I tried adding 12 litres with a measuring cup. Then in discussing my outrage of this 42 cup urn with a coffee guru friend and telling them that I was going to complain to Hamilton Beach about the inaccurate sizing, they're like..."I don't think a coffee cup is the same as a cup."I realize that this is a result of my own lack of knowledge of the coffee industry and their desire to dupe the world, but seriously who came up with that? I now knock a star off anything related to coffee as I feel like the entire industry has been misleading me since I started drinking coffee. As I typed this, I kept wanting to lower my rating.4 stars. This arrived quick. The item is as described...depending on what reality you live in.The look is Old Style with the glass nub which is fine for me, the finishing is impeccable and it is quiet; but it is maximum a 40 cups urn and there is no On/Off switch so you have to connect/disconnect the plug which is annoying if it's not easily accessible.bought another brand from a very well known company the pot quit in 26 monthes which is 2 months over the warranty period and they would not replace it this was the second pot purchased but warranty started from the purchase date of the first one Your pot is much better and works very well at our seniors drop in centre Thank you very much for a quality item DON WILSON ps will purchase another when neededWe had this for less than 2 days. The knob where the water is measured became leaky. Furthermore, upon trying to tighten it, it got completely loose.Initially it had a leak where the water level gauge connects to the spigot. This just required realigning and tightening. No more leaks. Pots work well and look good.
