The Fowler 52-646-250 Right Angle Dial Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 2 to 6" and gradient spacing of 0.0005". This direct-measuring gauge measures difficult-to-reach bores and has an insulated grip for extra stability. It uses a two-point contact system for the detection of geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points provided extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth.
